Introduction

Rural Matters has been designed to describe how the Community Forest field team can help farmers, landowners and those with a controlling interest in land, to take advantage of the grant schemes in the England Rural Development Programme.

Whether your business is purely in the agricultural sector, or you own land where you are considering planting trees, or looking at ways to implement environmental improvements, then we are here to help you to achieve your aims.

If your plans do not include a requirement for grant aid, then the Community Forest field team are still available to discuss any ideas you may have for your land or property that will benefit the environment and the community’s enjoyment of it.
