About Groups

There are a huge number of groups in the Community Forest area offering volunteering opportunities, environmental expertise, advice and huge amounts of enthusiasm! They are always looking for new supporters, whatever your age or ability, whether you can get involved on a regular basis, or just now and again. You could help clear a cycle route or plant some trees - create a project in your school grounds, or help to protect the green spaces around your home.

The Great Western Community Forest team have worked with many of these groups on a number of environmental projects and can act as a facilitator in meeting your needs.

If you have a project which needs volunteer support, through the GWCF team, these organisations will be able to put you on the right track, and provide you with the guidance you require. They may also be able to help you secure funding from the many Community Grants that are available.
